Meet the Team Spotlight: Hector Andrade

Hector Andrade joined Cutting Edge Supply as an Outside Sales Rep in February 2025, bringing 10 years of aggregate experience to the table.

The Arizona native originally began his professional life in agriculture when he was hired at 18-years-old to milk cows at a dairy farm in Mesa, Arizona. After seven months on the job, he began handling artificial insemination as well as administering meds to sick cows when needed.

In 2008, after nearly a decade at the dairy farm, Hector was out house hunting when he spotted a sign for Southwest Rock.

“I didn’t know anything about sand and gravel at the time, but it seemed interesting, and I was ready for something different,” shared Hector. “I went by their office and told them I’d work hard and was willing to learn.”

Hector started out handling ground labor and then worked his way up to a crusher operator, followed by a loader operator, supervisor and eventually manager. After 8 years there, Arcosa Aggregates purchased Southwest Rock and Hector opted to move on to a sales role with Unified Screening & Crushing in Mesa, Arizona.

Two years in, he was tipped off to an opening at Cutting Edge.

“I knew a sales rep at Cutting Edge because he had worked at Unified previously, and he actually recommended me for his position when he left,” said Hector. “I knew Cutting Edge had an excellent reputation as a Hardox dealer and carried premium G.E.T products across the board. It’s been great to work for a company that delivers such high quality products and service.”

Hector’s territory includes everything “west of the I-17” in Arizona, and he’s constantly out making the rounds. In his time off, he enjoys spending time with his family — hiking, movies or hanging at the beach in Rocky Point.
